Tenant Improvement and Globe Relocation
GOAL: Relocate Newspaper Offices
ROLE: Architect
VALUE ADDED: Recreating and moving historical icons associated with The Seattle PI from its original location in the Denny Triangle to a new waterfront office building. In addition to planning the interior design layout for all staff members in the papers new location, we recreated a portion of the terrazzo lobby entrance floor with its emblem and coved ceiling, worked with the building Owner and structural engineer to reinforce the roof, and got permits to shut down the streets one night to move the spinning Globe icon to its new location.
