GOAL: Transform 50-acre peninsula in downtown Spokane from abandoned railroad yards and industrial property to a mixed-use commercial, educational and residential development.
ROLE: Development Manager
VALUE ADDED: Brownfield Clean-Up: Used cost-effective green strategies to remediate diesel-contaminated soil. Minimized Cash Requirements: Established Local Improvement District to spread costs of Phase 1 infrastructure over 10 years. Win / Win / Win Negotiations: Structured a three-way agreement between the State of Washington, City of Spokane and Glacier Park Company to locate higher education campus on corner of site. Removed title encumbrances: Cleared title on 21 acres of railroad chartered Right of Way creating value in sale to City of Spokane.
